Hiromi Yamaguchi established Hospitality Directions Co., Ltd. in July 2015, at which time he assumed his present position.

Mr. Yamaguchi started his career in 1977 at Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts (formerly Tokyu Hotels International) building extensive experience in the sales, operations and development divisions of various hotels. In 1987, he was seconded to Pan Pacific Properties in New Zealand as Director of Finance and Deputy Director CEO. In 1989, he became Vice President and Director of Finance at Alpha U.S.A. In 1994, he joined Westin Hotel Tokyo as Deputy Director of Finance. In 1996, he joined Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu (formerly Pan Pacific Hotel Yokohama) as Director of Finance, and later became Assistant Executive Manager. From 2005, he was Director of Finance at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo.

In 2007, he joined Abilitas Hospitality Co., Ltd., formerly a Goldman Sachs Group company, as Director of Operations. There, he improved many of the group's hotel businesses in diverse markets, maintaining a good rapport with investors.
